Today is February 7th. I started this photoblog a year ago and here I am with 346 shots in the past year. Thank you everyone for your support and comments. I started posting my mobile shots a year ago with this one and now I'm using a DSLR and buying lenses and thinking of becoming a good photographer, and that's all because of you. You are the best source of inspiration I've ever seen. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The fog coming over my city Tehran in a cold winter night. I thought about posting something special for the first birthday of my photoblog, but then I decided that a picture of my city, where I've sent so many photos from, is a good choice.
** I dig constructive criticism. The hardest is the most appreciated. Thank you. If you like my photos, please vote for me on PhotoBlogAwards 2008 and/or rank me on VFXY.

@Michael Skorulski: Thank you, Michael.
You don't need to think about being a good photographer, you're already there! Lovely shot!

@DaveB: Thanks Dave. You are very kind.
Happy birthday, and that's a beautiful shot!

@Antares: Thank you!
Congrats on the year anniversary! An impressive accomplishment.
I like the shot. The noise is high and it shows in the sky but I suppose we could just pretend it's snow. ;) Love the bright orange lights of the street ... looks like a warm, inviting place amidst the cold winter night.

@Aaron Schmidt: Thanks Aaron, it's all because of your wonderful website. Yes the noise is still visible even after noise reduction. Blame it on me being too lazy to take the tripod and the fog stealing all those pixels in darkness and ISO1600.

@Craiger: Thanks Craiger. I appreciate your kind words.
Congrats on your blog's anniversary. Its amazing to see a city with fog, from Iran. The first thing that comes to mind is the heat and the desert. Excellent shot!

@Shuva Brata Deb: Thanks Shuva. As I wrote for Amy, actuall, Iran is a strange country. It has deserts that nobody dares passing and mountains as cold and snowy as a mountain can be. We are used to hearing one city is +25^C and another one -20^C.
Brilliant shot!

@Ami: Thank you, Ami.
Congrats for a full year! This is a beautiful picture with a warm glow, despite the cold snow.

Well, Behrooz... I have seen you grow so much in the last year to the strong photographer you are now... and I'm proud to say that I have been coming to your site regularily since I started a year ago come March. Congratulations, my friend!! And your post today is both fitting and absolutely DELIGHTFUL.. great atmosphere of a wintry night with a beautiful warm glow. (and quite frankly I just didn't know it got so wintry in Iran... you learn so much here at Am3, eh!)
7 Feb 2008 10:32am
@amy: Thanks Amy. You have always been with me even when I was so busy and didn't have the time to write about your pictures. I like it about AM3 and seeing other cultures and stuff. Actually, Iran is a strange country. It has deserts that nobody dares passing and mountains as cold and snowy as a mountain can be. We are used to hearing one city is +25^C and another one -20^C.
Happy Anniversary Behrooz!!!! I know what you mean about Am3, the support and encouragement is overwhelming and it just makes you want to go farther! Gorgeous image...the snow and lights are just gorgeous

this is so beautiful and makes it even more awesome is that it looks like the city is on fire. literally, that would not be awesome but i like the fact that you put up a picture of your city on your photoblog birthday so in a not so literal sense "your city is on fire"
