A much seen sight in photography world, but actually my first attempt in the category too.
Sorry if the low quality shows a little after am3 compression. I'm waiting for the A+ membership with full size uploads.

I don't quite know what to make of this one Behrooz! Kind of looks like tracer bullets might look, if there were more of them. I don't honestly like the 'painting with light" photos that I have seen around. More artistic results can be made by using a zoom blur technique where there are a lot of lights or cars moving up a road! Maybe you can explain it to me! ;-) PS. I do like that background colour and gradient effect!

@Anne: Anne - Thanks for the honest comment. This is a 7 minute shot from the sky at night to get the trace of the stars. The blurry background is actually passing clouds and the circle on top right is the light from the moon. I intend to take a full circle trace with longer than half an hour exposures soon, but right now, the lights and clouds in the sky are too much for such exposures.
I love the colors here Behrooz!

Fascinating experiment, Behrooz. For me I really like the abstract quality of that background... makes me think of Jupiter. Can't wait for more of these experiments then you can tell ME how to do it!

Thanks for the explanation Behrooz! Now I understand! I once took a nice photo of stars years ago. After trying and failing in the city, I took my tripod in the car outside town on a clear night away from the reflections of city lights. I wasn't trying to do what you are doing - but the clouds and reflections of light on them would have the same effect on your photo experiment as they did on my shorter exposure, probably more so! Although I liked the orange colour - thinking of an abstract design, I wonder if you have thought of getting a blue daylight filter for your camera, to cool down those warm tones. The tracings of the stars would look really cool on a natural dark blue sky background - even the moon wouldn't reflect yellowish/orange! Very interesting - look forward to seeing your future attempts :-)

Interesting. The color seems unusual for a night shot but it is beautiful.
