I prefer more sharpness. probably it might be better from another angel (not against the light).

Wonderful wispy web! I don't mind it against the light, because the highlights are OK and not blown out! Very tricky with such a contrasty situation. You got wonderful texture detail in the tree trunk too! (Just having a quick look at my bookmarks in between doing another long job) haven't been able to post regularly for a while - sorry about that! :-)

That looks like a caterpillar web like the kind the tent caterpillars make, but there is no foliage on the tree stump so I think the caterpillar that spun it was confused.
Beautiful work in black and white. It is much easier to push exposure with film. Much harder to blow highlights.
