Good lighting and framing. I wonder whether the wood was partly decolorized or not; actually I find the question somewhat distracting. If it was brown, I’d quickly forget about it and concentrate on the face. Waiting for more portraits of the same lady...

@karetnikov: Thanks. No it was this color in the daylight. I charged the red on the lady for the colors to pop, but masked the tree to keep it as it was.

Stunning face and expression. Obviously beautiful, but so hard to fathom her thoughts and intentions. Regal to be sure, but a kind of defensive arrogance comes to mind. I don't suspect she intends to share anything with anyone. Am I wrong?
