Finally, spring is here. The New Persian Year starts Wednesday, March 21st, 03:37:26 AM (+3:30 GMT).
As you can see, the Persian Year does not start at midnight. Loyal to the most accurate calendar in the world, known as the Persian Calendar and introduced by Omar Khayyám, we calculate the days down to the last second. The calendar measurement has only a 1 hour error in every 5,500 years, whereas the Gregorian Calendar used today, has a 1 day error in every 3,330 years. You can read more about the Persian Calendar here.
The little buds on the fig tree are the first signs of spring along with the sun and the gentle breeze that smells like the spring. Those who live in Tehran know this smell and atmosphere very well.
Happy New Year!
